ASU is offering five weeks of free virtual programming to engage students, families with kids and the entire community in learning activities covering topics from social justice to the zombie apocalypse to cookie decorating. 12/1/2020 - 12/8/2020Movement Science Video CompetitionSubmit 2-3 minute physical activity videos addressing a variety of areas. The best video(s) will receive a badge and be featured on CHS social media!Additional Information
12/7/2020 at 9 a.m. MSTVirtual Experience in Telepractice (Communication Disorders)Present a variety of telepractice “mini sessions,” demonstrate unique ideas and intervention activities for a varied population. Telepractice can be beneficial and “entertaining.”Additional Information
12/7/2020 from 12 - 1 p.m. MSTCooking on a Budget Challenge!Participants will use a standard video template to create and submit 3-4 minute cooking videos that show how to cook meals with foods and ingredients that you could get at a food bank or purchase for a low price. The best video will receive a prize and be featured on CHS social media!Additional Information
12/7/2020 at 1 p.m. MSTLearn about the Graduate programs in Communication DisordersDiscuss requirements for the Speech and Hearing Science graduate program in a lively Q & A session with stories, fun facts about speech and hearing science, and more about the job market and the populations served.Additional Information
12/9/2020 from 10 - 11:30 a.m. MSTAcademic Survival as a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) StudentStudents will be invited to openly discuss their triumphs and challenges as CLD in speech and hearing in an open forum to develop strategies that will lead to academic success.Additional Information
12/9/2020 at 1 p.m. MST and 12/16/2020 at 1 p.m. MSTMeet the Professionals in Healthcare Delivery and Public HealthThis session will include a panel of faculty who have worked in various professions in health care delivery and public health. 12/10/2020 at 1 p.m. MSTInformation and Q&A about applying for Graduate Programs in AudiologyInformation about the AuD application process as well as valuable information about what to expect and how to succeed in graduate school. A virtual tour of the ASU Audiology clinic will be included as well!Additional Information
12/11/2020 from 2:30 - 4 p.m. MST and 1/8/2021 from 2:30 - 4 p.m. MSTBook club: Reproductive Injustice: Racism, Pregnancy, and Premature BirthBook will be divided in half for two discussion groups. We will read and discuss this compelling book in an informal, relaxed (virtual) setting.Additional Information
