Internships

An internship is a short-term, hands-on, supervised experience with a professional organization. It differs from a part-time job or volunteer experience in that an internship is intended to increase your knowledge in a specific career field, allow you to develop additional skills and provide quality mentorship.

International students

International students must contact the International Students and Scholars Center (ISSC) before completing an internship or contacting the internship coordinator. International students on an F-1 visa who want to complete a paid or unpaid internship in the U.S. must use Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT). Applications should be completed six to eight weeks prior to the start date of the internship.
