Gain hands-on health experience before you graduate

Your experiential learning credit is required

At the College of Health Solutions, you get hands-on experience in the health field before you even graduate. It's all part of the experiential learning credit that's required for every Health Solutions undergrad - even our online students can participate!

We encourage students to pursue a variety of professional development opportunities throughout their time at the College of Health Solutions, including positions that may not be eligible for academic credit.

Spring 2026

Begin by: August 21, 2025	Review Career Services resources and schedule an appointment with career staff to assist with updating your resume, developing an outreach plan, and more.
Begin by: September 1, 2025	Opportunities will open on a rolling basis throughout the semester. Some summer internships may have earlier deadlines. Students are strongly encouraged to apply to potential sites at least six weeks before the Pre-Internship Petitions (PIP) deadline.
September 16, 2025	Getting started with experiential learning - information session 1 p.m., virtual
October 8, 2025	Getting started with experiential learning - information session 2 p.m., virtual
October 16, 2025	Pre-Health Internship Program application deadline

November 14, 2025	Application deadline for Pre-Internship Petitions (PIP) Use the PIP form found in the College of Health Solutions Placements database to request the use of your current health related employment as an internship or to request a new internship site not located in the database.
January 18, 2025	Last day to submit Internship Learning Agreement (ILA) for spring internships
January 13, 2025	First day of work at internship site
May 1, 2026	College of Health Solutions Student Research Symposium
May 2, 2025	Last day of work at internship site

Summer 2026

May 18, 2026	First day of classes and work at internship site can begin
